Northwood YMCA’s Generations Room would like to begin hosting new activities during the hours of 8:30 am – 1pm for adults and seniors.
WE WANT YOU to stop in on Monday’s for weekly activities (sign up in wellness or generations room for an activity you would be interested in.) Stop in after water aerobics and get a group together for a game of bridge, bingo or billiards.
Genitiva Home Health Services will be offering FREE monthly seminars about arthritis and joint replacement. Check with the Wellness Department for the next scheduled session.
SENIOR SPECTACLE is a quarterly newsletter that you may advertise upcoming events or programs that you want others to enjoy. Please send your information to seniorspectacle@gmail.com.
SILVERSNEAKERS® - SILVERSNEAKERS® is a program offered by Humana Ins. is now available at the Northwood, McGurn and Putnam YMCA locations. If you are 55+ and currently have Humana Ins., please stop in and ask how you can sign up for a free membership to the SilverSneakers® program.
We currently are offering the SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength and Range of Motion classes on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. All members are welcome to come and join in on the fun.
We are looking to add SS II Cardio and Yoga Stretch. Please see group Exercise Schedule for day and time.
