Counselor In Training
Counselors In Training (CITs) are high school students interested in gaining valuable experience in childcare. Everyday after school gets out, CITs come to the YMCA. There, they assist counselors in day-to-day activities with a variety of age groups. CITs earn countless community service hours, gain tons of experience, and impact hundreds of kids - all while having a blast! We transport CITs from Gainesville High School and PK Yonge to the YMCA, but CITs from other schools must find alternate means of transportation. You must apply and interview to become a CIT. Not all applicants will be selected to participate in this program, as spaces are very limited! You can pick up an application at the Northwood YMCA or download the one below. Please see our flyer for more information!
