MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

Dear YMCA Friends:

I would like to take this opportunity to proudly welcome you to the North Central Florida YMCA. The YMCA is a not-for-profit community service organization supported by members, volunteers and Board of Directors of the NCF community. Our staff takes great pride in our facilities and the wide range of comprehensive programs we offer. You will find that our staff is dedicated to membership service and to the needs and goals of each member. Together our boards, staff, volunteers, and members complete the backbone of what the YMCA has attained in North Central Florida. Your commitment to our Y is a direct result of lives being improved each and every day throughout North Central Florida. Our mission is clear:

The NCF YMCA is committed to our mission of developing strong kids, strong families and strong communities through building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

We will accomplish this mission by continuing to develop youth sports programs, after school and summer camps for children, programs for teens and seniors as well as fitness and recreational | programming for all, including those who can not afford to pay. We will attempt to provide programming for all age groups including adolescent, teen, adult, and seniors. Our primary focus will be on families and children.

The YMCA of North Central Florida is drastically addressing the needs of our community. In January 2005 we opened the new 13,000 sq. ft. expansion of our Northwood facility. The addition includes a brand new spinning room, group exercise room, teen/senior center, karate/dojo area, Magnum Strength Circuit, BeeFit Children's equipment, dance studio, and a new child watch area. I am excited to offer our existing and future members continued opportunities with this expansion to enhance their lives.

We moved forward to expand YMCA services at our Lake City and McGurn branches. We have also reached out and began serving Bradford County and increased our services in Levy County. We will continue to serve the needs of our members throughout North Central Florida. We are proud of what we are accomplishing and with your continued support we will consistently increase the capacity of our YMCA to meet the needs of all in our communities.

I hope all of you can take a moment to reflect and feel good about our achievements.

Remember: This is your YMCA

As always, I am thankful for the many Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and members whose commitment to our mission is so crucial to our continued success. In all that we do, we will endeavor to instill the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Sincerely,

Shawn Patch,
CEO NCF YMCA
